Year Round Dog Handler Position 8/08/08 Thank you for your interest in the p/t position as Dog Handler.  This position requires the applicant to have a valid driver's license, a car, and to be available for either mornings (start at 7am) and/or for our closing hours (ending at 6-6:30pm)   Preference will be given to those with the most flexible schedule.   The pay will start at $7-$8/hour.   If you meet these criteria, please stop in to fill out an application, or print one using the link below and return to   Wags Daycare for Dogs at 167 Leighton Rd in Augusta. There is a pager system in the lobby.  You will just need to pick up the radio, press the rubber button and announce that you are here to fill out or drop off an application.  If there is no radio present, please ring the doorbell and someone will come out to the lobby to greet you. Promote the general health and welfare of the dogs. Closely supervise interactions between the dogs. Deal with emergencies as they arise including breaking up dog fights, administering first aid, evacuating the facility, and emergency trips to the vet. Keep the facility clean, indoors and out. Cleaning would include but not be limited to vacuuming, dusting, floor cleaning, mopping, laundry, washing dishes, emptying trash, scooping poop, emptying wast buckets, and cleaning kennels. Interact with dog owners at pick-up and drop-off times and advise of daily activity. Receive payments. Take calls, answer questions about the facility, set up and conduct screening appointments and take reservations.
