It is finally here! A playroom just for medium and small Tail 'Wag-gers!' We have heard your requests over the years that you would like a separate area for your smaller dogs that love to play just as much as the big 'Waggers'. Well, we decided to do just that, create a safe, separate play space and outdoor play yard just for dogs 30 pounds and under! We will even accomodate those teensy tiny tail waggers that need a little bit more security by creating a Pee-Wee Waggers space!
Now Small Dog Owners cannot only experience the peace of mind of knowing that their dog doesn't have to spend the work week alone or in a crate all day, but they also will get to experience what Big Dog Owners already know... A Tired Dog is a Good Dog!
The Wee Wags space will provide the same luxuries for the small dogs as the Wags room does for the big dogs. There will be beds to play on, to snooze on, to just hang out on. There will be a plethora of toys to play with, climbing equipment to wrestle on, and a doggie pool in the summer.. it is suprising how many small dogs love the water!
Why Doggie Daycare?
Did you know that play with other dogs not only provides your dog with some of its exercise requirements, but also helps to meet social needs? Dogs are pack animals, and loneliness and boredom can bring on problem behaviors including destructiveness (chewing and digging), investigative behavior (garbage raiding), attention-getting behaviors, and barking. Lack of exercise can be a contributor to hyperactivity, excitability, and unruliness. And most importantly, exercise helps to maintain a healthy body weight, strengthens joints and muscles, and provides mental stimulation for your pet.
Other Popular Reasons to Bring Your Dog to Daycare:
You leave your dog home alone during a 5-day workweek.
Your dog can't 'hold it' for 9 hours!
Home improvements, the repairman is coming, or your
house is being shown.
You are expecting company and would like your dog to be exercised and relaxed before they arrive.
To socialize your new puppy or dog with other people and other dogs.
How Can My Dog Join "The Brat Pack?"
If your dog is friendly and social towards his own kind, then he or she is well on their way to joining Wags "Brat Pack". Wags dogs must also be up-to-date on their shots, be spayed or neutered, and must pass the initial dog-to-dog interview. Click on the Membership link to learn more!
Sleepovers…
Until our small dog clientele builds up we will still require dogs to meet the 10lb. minimum in order to sleep over in the big dog room.
