"Allie is always the first one up on Thursdays, even before the kids!  
She whines and gets a serious case of the 'wiggles' when she knows it's
her 'Wags Day'.  She can't wait to get there!  On the drive over she is
anxious and watches out the  window.. She knows what the Wags'
driveway looks like and is in a hurry to get in there.  

And after a day of daycare?  Dog?  What dog?  I have to ask myself if I
remembered to pick Allie up because she sleeps like a log when she
comes home for the night, all relaxed with energy spent.

We started bringing Allie to Wags because after we had twin boys, we
became unable to devote the necessary play time that Allie needs.  
Being a Boxer, sitting around simply does not do.  Since attending
Wags every week, Allie's been much happier and less 'mopey'.  She
seems to do better on her leash walks, and she's not as timid as she
used to be.  We bring her to daycare to keep her happy and socialized.  
You could call it a mental health day!

"As soon as Cash sees his treat jar and leash on the counter he 'knows'
he is going to daycare.  He spins in circles and walks by the door until
we leave!  He has to sit in the front seat so he can see and watch out
the window.  If we drive by Wags on a day Cash is not going to
daycare, he cries and whines and gets so excited, he loves daycare that
much!

At the end of the day, Cash comes home so tired.  He usually falls
asleep on the drive home.  It really tuckers him out.  We also feel less
guilty if we need to go do something that night and he needs to stay
home.  We know he will just sleep the whole time because he has been
playing all day.  

We started bringing Cash to Wags Daycare as a puppy because we
wanted him to become socialized with other dogs.  We really feel it
has assisted him in becoming the great, independent, adventurous
and obedient dog that he is!"

"Gompers and Scout are high-energy Weimaraners, and camp is a great
way for them to channel that energy in a positive way, and to socialize
with other playful dogs.  When Thursday comes around, Gomp and
Scout dance around each other in our entryway, trying to get the best
position to be the first dog out the door!  Scout spins in circles once we
pull into the Wags driveway...Gompers tries to keep it together and
play it 'cool',  but we know he can't wait to get inside and greet his
'pack'!    

Their 'Wags Daycare Day' is their special day each week to let loose all
day long.  We think it has improved Scout's ability to stay at home
alone (with Gompers that is!)  She had some anxiety about being left
alone, but seems to have turned the corner on her ability to control
her bladder until we get home.   After a brief celebration of everyone
being home together, Gompers & Scout head right for the couch, until
called for dinner of course!"

Wags Daycare for Dogs


Just wanted to thank you again for taking our dog Brady on such short
notice. We really appreciated having the peace of mind knowing she was
in such good hands (As was demonstrated by how clean and beautiful
your Doggy Daycare facility is). The first kennel we took her to put us in a
panic about what kind of places there are out there, and you helped to
ease all of that stress.

Brady slept all the way home to Manchester, NH, And was too tired to
make it up to her doggy bed that night. Thank you, Thank you, Thank
you!!   We will be sure to recommend you to all of the GOOD dog owners
out there. And we are looking forward to our next trip to Augusta,
knowing she will be in such a safe and fun place!

Dear Wags,

As you know, the biggest motivating factor in starting Presley
at Wags last year was to prepare him socially to spend time
with me this summer at Mic Mac Campground in Union, where
there are many other dogs.  My concern was Presley's habit of
barking and whining loudly every time he saw another dog.  
This was a habit I spent 7 years trying to break, without
success.  Of course, that behavior does not make a "pawsitive"
first impression to potential dog-friends, is disruptive to other
campers, and quite embarrassing for me.  My thought was that
if Presley had the opportunity to meet and play with many
other dogs at Wags, seeing other dogs at camp would not be
such a big deal.  Understanding this to be a deeply ingrained
habit, I did not have much confidence, but saw Wags as our last
chance at reform.  I dropped him off that first day with my
fingers crossed, figuring in any event, the chance to play with
other dogs off-leash would be fun for him.

I am thrilled to report that Presley has come to camp with me a
lot this season and you know what?  He has been FANTASTIC.  I
can allow him to greet other dogs, knowing he will act socially
appropriate with each of them.  He clearly has mastered how to
calmly make initial contact with other dogs and to discern
which ones will play with him and which ones would rather be
left alone.  In addition, he does not bark at dogs who pass by,
even if they bark at him.  Others at the campground have even
commented on how well behaved he is.  I am absolutely amazed.

Presley's awesome transformation in behavior is credited
entirely to the time he has spent at Wags.  The exposure to so
many dogs there has made all the difference in the world.  He
has gained confidence and social skills that simply could not be
taught by traditional training methods.  I regret not sending
him to Wags years ago.

Thank you so much for the service you provide.  We are happy
campers!
